Well, consider he was raised in South Pacific island nation of Hawaii. In addition, he spent formative primary school years in Indonesia, and lest anyone forget that Obama gets his surname from his East African patriarch of Kenya.
Thats a whole lot of global coverage for a man that has won, arguably, the highest seat in the world. So its only fitting that he should enjoy unprecedented coverage the world over.

I’d say its his grassroots organization that worked vigorously to engage marginalized communities into a working majority. Everyone from rural, suburban, 1st time voters, cynical voters, old, young, black, white, Asian, Native American, Hispanic, independent, democratic & republican. Mr. Obama left no stone unturned and not one constituency left out or marginalized.

I think that approach revolutionized his candidacy into a movement that hasn’t been witnessed since the Civil Rights movements of the 1950’s & 1960’s. Many people have been looking for a national & world leader, and Barack has stood firm in filling in the gap.
By tapping into the energetic student population he perpetuated his momentum throughout the entire campaign. Moreover, he engaged the technocrats & cyber junkies by infiltrating that unknown quantity called the world wide web.

That fact, probably more than anything elevated him to world iconic status. For people around the world could receive his updates, fund raising requests, advertising and all things relative to his candidacy as orchestrated by his campaign manager David Plouffe.
Barack Obama is good for America as is he is good for the world. For by the elevation of this multi-racial politician displays a new day in the pantheon of American politics.
No longer does one need to be a white male to ascend to the heights of power, rather now the world of politics seems more fair & balanced and truly indicative of the 90% of the world population.
Whereas, now the glass ceiling and discriminatory practices that marginalized entire populations is indeed dismantled! Now, anyone can truly achieve whatever they desire because we’ve all stood witness to this great day of historicity. No one can deny you any longer for being from a certain background because the psychology of power has shifted.

Perception has been forced open and redefined in an unprecedented fashion. Black men are now walking with a renewed sense of self realization & purpose. Black women are emboldened by the sight of a dark skinned, full figured, self styled, highly intelligent, mother, wife & first lady. A role that she seems predestined to excel in.
The Obama family has lite up hte world with their infectious smiles & warmth of spirit that jumps off the screen right into your home, school, workplace or place of worship. They represent the best of what America has to offer.
